The scouts handed red-and-white ribbons and national flags.
The patriotic celebrations were attended in crowds by the residents, veterans, the youth, representatives of the local government and the institutions of Wieliczka.
After the holy service, the Wieliczka Salt Mine Representative Brass Orchestra led the procession to the obelisk commemorating Regaining of the Independence, where the flowers were laid by the veterans, the local government authorities, the Mine representatives, the representatives of the artistic cirles and societies of our municipality and several dozen of other delegations.
After the flowers have been laid down ceremonially under the obelisk commemorating Regaining of the Independence, the brass band played the Dąbrowski Mazurka, followed by the incidental speech by the Mayor of Wieliczka, Artur Kozioł. He said, among other things: "We live in the Homeland of Tadeusz Kościuszko, Józef Piłsudski, John Paul II; a Homeland, where the law and the tradition have become the most important values.The constitution, passed on 3rd May 1791 is a pride of ours. Similarly, we should be really proud of Wieliczka, the town we come from".
Through their numerous attendance of the celebrations commemorating passage of the 3rd of May Constitution, which has already become a tradition, the residents of Wieliczka expressed their bondage to patriotism and values contained in the chapters of the first European constitution.
