Deadline whereby the first social building financed from our municipal budget is to be ready for use is approaching. Advanced finishing works are underway at the Jasna Street. They are to be finished in July this year. That's when the persons placed on the beginning of the list of some two hundred applications concerning award of the social accomodations shall be able to prepare for moving in.

The first of the blocks of flats put into service comprises of 15 apartments with one or two rooms, kitchen and bathroom, with total floor space of 593,67 m2.
On 29th April 2008 a contract has been concluded concerning construction of yet another social building, which is to be ready for use by August 2009.
Building for social purposes has become one of the key tasks, successively carried out as a part of the municipal investment plans.
Financed by the municipality, the investments concerning the residents of Wieliczka most in need amounted to 2 mln PLN.
"The hitherto level of expenditures related to building for social purposes shall certainly be maintained in the upcoming years",Artur Kozioł, the Mayor of Wieliczka assures.
It is worth stressing, as well, that the social buildings from the moment they're ready for use, are functional two storey residential homes fulfilling all the necessary standards.

The building which is being prepared for use since July this year contains:
On the Ground Floor:
    2 flats (2 rooms, a kitchen,  a bathroom, a vestibule, a hall) each 46,13 m2
    3 flats(1 room, a kitchen,a bathroom, a vestibule, a hall) each 37,33 m2
On the First Floor:
    2 flats (2 rooms, a kitchen,  a bathroom, a vestibule,a hall) each 45,89 m2
    3 flats (1 room, a kitchen,  a bathroom,  a vestibule,a hall) each 37,13 m2.
In the attic:
    2 flats (1 room +a kitchen, 1 room, a bathroom, a vestibule, a hall) each 39,20 m2
    3 flats (1 room, a kitchen,a bathroom,a vestibule, a hall) each 35,95 m2
