Our volleyball players were hosted by the local government who apart from the tournament prepared a programme rich in tourism and recreation activities.

The volleyball players of the Decanal Sports Club have already returned, full of positive experiences to Wieliczka. There are three active sports sections in the Decanal Sports Club "St.Kinga Wieliczka": female volleyball (grammar school and high school sections) instructed by coaches Jan Kordula and Anna Majtyka, chess section - instructed by Antoni Szypuła and table tennis section - coached by Małgorzata Kotaba.

During the Parish Sports Tournament of the Cracow Archidiocese the highschool female volleyball section has been distincted especially - the girls took 2nd place on the podium.

The volleyball players of Wieliczka have been invited to partcipate in the finals of the XX Anniversary International Parish Youth and Children Sports Tournament taking place between 5th and 13th July 2008 in Warsaw. The International Volleyball Tournamnet in Bergkamen assembled very well prepared European volleyball teams and despite great involvement of the team into the game the girls did not take the podium. The team, however, was distincted for their efforts and the girls received commemorative certificates.

The tournament was two days long and exhausted the volleyball players but the organisers prepared a wide recreational programme before and after the tournament. Thus the girls had an opportunity to sightsee the town of Bergkamen, do some shopping in the Turkish market or simply take a rest in the local park.

The organisers also took the players to the aqua-park and an interesting dinosaur museum.
