Concert of the organ music in Wieliczka

On 17th August a final concert of the 1st International Organ and Chamber Music Festival, organised as a part of the project "Welcome to Wieliczka" took place.

The renovated interior of the St.Klemens church saw the performance of the Belgian artist Serge Schoonbroodt.

The Sunday concert took place as a part of the project realized by the Tourism and Culture Centre in Wieliczka,which was subsidized from the municipal budget as a result of an open competition of offers in the field od culture.

Serge Schoonbroodt, graduate of the Conservatoire Royal de Musique in Brussels, producer of ancient music, the artistic director of the International Arequipa Festival of Peru is an internationally acclaimed artist.

The public listened to a performance of works by Johanna Ernst Berlin, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Johann Jozef Fux, Jan Sebastian Bach, Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer, Lambert Chaumont, Isfrid Kayser, Pierre Froidebise, Dietrich Buxtehude, as well as his own compositions - for example: „Vitrail”.

Thanks to the camera installed in the organ-loft, the instrumentalist's concert has been visualised, giving the public the chance to fully experience this artistic event.

The Sunday concert was the last one in the series in the 1st International Organ and Chamber Music Festival.

The two previous concert saw performances by the distinguished Hungarian composer and organist, Sylwester Rostetter, The Beethoven Academy Orchestra and Mirosława Semeniuk-Podraza.
