NO PER MILL – NO PROBLEM

On 25th October,Saturday, at 11 AM we invite the residents of Wieliczka to participate in a happening, which shall be the summation of the social campaign SOBER MAŁOPOLSKA:NO PER MILL - NO PROBLEM! The campaign, taking place under the honourable patronage of Marek Nawara - the Małopolska District Marshall and the Education Office is meant to improve the state of sobriety among the drivers.

15 municipalities of the Małopolska district participate in the "No per mill - No problem" campaign, including the Wieliczka municipality, where the patronage over the campign has been taken by the Mayor, Artur Kozioł.

On Saturday, in the pre-afternoon hours, a group of youth shall perform on the Upper Market Square with a street show depicting the dangers related to drink-driving.Volunteers shall also appear in Wieliczka dreesed in the campaign T-shirts; they shall hand out the leaflets promoting the NO PER MILL campaign.

Police has also announced its participation in the campaign - on this day the sobriety of the drivers in Wieliczka and the rest of the municipality shall be controlled especially.

The children accompanying the policemen shall present the sober drivers with the stickers bearing the campaign's logo.

The addressees of the campaign are- above all - the young drivers aged 18-35, the driving schools students as well as the pupils of the schools in the Wieliczka Municipality.

What can you do to protect yourself and the others?


*Make sure on the very beginning who's going to drive the others home after the parties where alcohol consumption is anticipated

*Find out just how much time you need after you drink alcohol to drive a car.(For example - after drinking 0,5 l of beer - 5%, 150 ml of wine - 16% ,50 ml of vodka - 50% - a man weighing 70 kg should wait three hours in order to drive safely).

*Do not mix medicines and alcohol.The effects may be surprising.

*If the co-partying drink too much,call a cab or organize your trip home with a sober driver.

The social sobriety campaign is being carried out by the of the Non-Governmental Organisations Consortium.
