There are over 50 objects enlisted in the Małopolska Voivodeship Historic Objects Restorer's register.A sum of 600 thousand PLN from the Wieliczka Municipality budget has been allotted to finance renovation works this year.

One of the historic objects which received the dotation for renovation is the group of Via Crucis Chapels located in the courtyard of the Franciscan Reformer Brothers' Monastery.

The first stage of works concerning the historic Via Crucis located in the wall surrounding the courtyard of the Franciscan Reformer Brothers shall end in November.Presently the works concentrate around the treatment of the stone elements of the Via Crucis.The so-called "hard works", related to brick- and plaster-laying have been performed already.Good weather and rather high (taking in consideration the season) temperatures as well as the suitable humidity level are seen as favourable to the renovation works.

The Station of the Cross canvas are at the restorer's,the cabinets protecting the paintings against the atmospheric factors are being renovated as well.The Municipality has allotted a sum of 280 thousand PLN to the renovation works concerning the grooup of the Via Crucis Chapels.

Soon yet another historic object in Wieliczka shall have a new look.
