"Tidying up the world in Zabawa"

Adults and young firemen from the Zabawa Voluntary Fire Brigade actively participated in this year's edition of the nationwide action "Tidying up the world". The action's leading slogan runs as follows - "Let's tidy up the Polish forests!" and that's why the firemen tidied up the forest area in Zabawa and the shores of the Zabawka river especially attentively.

Roadsides of the main roads and environs of the children's playground were also subject to cleaning. Altogether over 40 bags of all sorts of garbage-most of it being plastic containers and bottles - have been collected.

Due to the rainy weather less volunteers than it was initially anticipated participated in the "Tidying up the world" action organised in Zabawa.

The conditions were the least favourable for the participation of the youngest firemen. Finally, 18 firemen, protected against the rain by special equipment and proper clothes participated in the action.Despite the rich thicket around the paths, large amounts of rubbish were easily found which gives discredit to the ones visiting the forest.

The voluntary fire brigade in Zabawa annually participates in the action of cleaning up their little homeland and encourages the other residents, especially the youth, to do the same.

Taking advantage of the successive edition of the nationwide campaign "Cleaning up the world", it is worth mentioning that its aim, much more important than tidying up the rubbish found in the places not destined for their storage, is growth of ecological consciousness of the societies.
