Camerata's homage to the veterans

On 28th September a solemn meeting of the National Army veterans took place in the Conference Room of the Council of the Royal Town of Cracow,on the occassion of the 69th anniversary of appointment of the Service to the Victory of Poland, the Armed Fight Union and the National Army.

The performance of the Camerata Choir from Wieliczka directed by Izabela Szota added spelndour to the event.The choir presented "The National Army Anthem", "The camp prayer" and other, numerous songs related to the subject of patriotism.

The ceremony was conducted by Mr Kazimierz Barczyk, chairman of the National Army Museum Council, the judge of the Tribunal of the State.

On behalf of the local government of the Town of Cracow there was a speech by Stanisław Rachwał, the vice-chairman of the Town Council.

There were also appearances by other guests participating in the meeting: Bogdan Klich - minister of the National Defence,dr hab. Janusz Kurtyka - chairman of the National Rememberance Institute, Ryszard Brodowski - the vice-chairman of the World National Army Soldiers' Union, the Małopolska branch. There also were the thanks expressed by Adam Rąpalski, director of the National Army Museum.

The event was a great homage to the heroic soldiers of the National Army and all the armed forces that fought with the occupying Nazi Army as a part of the Polish Underground State.

The Camerata Choir from Wieliczka adds splendour to many a ceremony in the Metropolitan Royal Town of Cracow, which is a great distinction and a proof of appreciation of the high level of artism of the ensemble.
