No promil - no problem”

A voivodship educational campaign entitled "The sober Małopolska - No per mill, No problem" has been inaugurated in Wieliczka. A group of volunteers performs a street show presenting the dangers related to drink-driving and distributes thematical leaflets among the passers-by as a part of the campaign.

15 municipalities of the Małopolska region joined the social campaign, including the Wieliczka Municipality, where the patronage over the campaign has been taken over by the mayor Artur Kozioł.

On Friday afternoon, 22nd August, a happening took place in the Wieliczka's Planty Gardens, where the volunteers of the educational campaign "The sober Małopolska - No per mill, No problem" improvised a scene portraying tragic effects of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Death of the young people in a car crash caused by a driver under the influence of alcohol is a scenario of events that happens much too often in the reality.

The street happening captured the attention of the residents of Wieliczka, who were presented by the volunteers with full info and educational materials pertaining to the action.

Wieliczka was the first town in which after the premiere show in the courtyard of the Radio Cracow the educational show was performed.

The volunteers performed in Wadowice during the weekend, today in Miechów annd in September we can again expect them in the salt town.

The aim of the campaign "The sober Małopolska - No per mill, No problem" is, above all, to change the social attitude towards the drink-driving drivers and lowering the high level of tolerance for the drivers under the influence of alcohol.

The organisers of the campaign in Małopolska also wish to work out a proposition of legislative changes leading to lowering the number of drink-driving drivers.

Apart from the public performances special thematical workshops and training have been prepared.
