Answering the growing need for free places in the kindergartens, our Municipality is investing in expansion and modernisation of the already existent establishments and construction of new ones. Realisation of the key investment in this area is being started now - the construction of a kindergarten in the Wincent Pol housing estate in Wieliczka.

It is to be a four-branches establishment with 25 children in each group aged from 3 to 6.

A big garden with a playground and a parking place is to be built around the kindergarten building.

The investment is to be completed in autumn 2009 and its overall cost is going to amount to approximately 3 mln PLN.

The kindergarten design relates to the landscape and the architecture surrounding it.

It shall be a one-storey high building with a functional loft with an altogether surface of 665 square metres.

The main entrance is to be situated from the Wincenty Pol Street and the entrance to the terrace and to the garden - from the Southern side.

A separate entrance is planned for the supporting personnel.

On the ground floor there are to be rooms with access to the toilets as well as a dining room with the kitchen and social area.

In the loft area rooms for the older children are designed with a room for the individual classes are going to be conducted.

Approximately 15 persons shall be employed in the kindergarten.

Next year two important investments shall be finalized - the kindergarten in the Wincenty Pol housing area and the common room in Lednica Górna with the space for the kindergarten branch.Kindergartens in Śledziejowice and Mietniów shall also be subject to extension.

Finalization of those investments shall to a great degree allow the problem missing places in the kindergartens.
