The new parking meter marking

Since June a Chargeable Parking Zone (CPZ) functions in Wieliczka. This week new marking has been introduced in order to facilitate the exploitation - a red triangle along with an inscription "pay here".

The marking is placed above the parking meters and is made of fluorescent foil in order to catch the attention of the drivers.

The new marking is the answer to the drivers' comments directed to the Chargeable Parking Zone, concerning the visibility of these appliances.

Three months after the zone has started functioning one may say that the drivers got used to paying for parking in the centre of the town.

The parking places are now utilised in a more effective way and dynamism can be observed in the flow of the cars through the town, which is favourable to the availability of the parking places for all the motorized.

We insert some practical informations concerning functioning of the zone:

The parking fees in the centre of the town vary and are proportional to the length of time the car is parked.

The parking drivers can also buy a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly subscription.

The ones who wish to purchase a ticket have to walk up to the parking meter, throw a proper coin in and press a green button a moment later.

The info concerning the way parking meters work can be found on the front wall of the appliance.

Comments concerning the technical side of the parking meters may be submitted to the Chargeable Parking Zone controler, or the phone number below.

The information concerning the Zone can be obtained via phone from the CPZ office - under the phone number 012 278 25 22 and in the Municipal Guard headquarters (phone number - 012 278 21 05 or on our webpage.
