While this day of the forum has begun with the opening of the stock-exchange, the representatives of Wieliczka partook in the 2nd Regions Forum, being an integral part of the Economic Forum and in the other panels. The Regions Forum is an annual meeting of the representatives of self - governments from Poland and the neighbouring countries, discussing on various problematic issues.
On the first day of the Regions Forum, which is going to continue until tomorrow, participated - among others - minister of the regional development Elżbieta Bieńkowska, who prepared a lecture entitled "Cooperation and Competition in presence of the future of the Polish Regions".
The Regions Forum not only presents an occassion to establish new contacts but also to share the experiences related to the realization of the financial projects financed from the European Union funds.
The organisers are the Eastern Studies Institute and the Małopolska Voivodeship.
The Wieliczka representatives participate in the discussion panels organised during all the days of the forum's duration.
The mayor's interest is aroused by - above all- the panels related to the subject of Euro 2012.
Wieliczka 's advantage of being located in the close environs of Cracow and the possibility of Euro 2012 being organised there also prepares for co-organisation of the championships.
Right now construction of three objects that shall as training base for the participants is underway. Apart from the pool and the playgrounds built as a part of the Orlik Programme, a full-size playground is under construction, which shall provide an excellent training facility for the competitors.
Today's panel "The biggest building site in Europe - the EURO 2012 investments" which is going to be attended by the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Mirosław Drzewiecki" shall be dedicated to the acquaintance with the stage of preparation and the planned activities pertaining to the realization of the Euro 2012.
During the panel lectures shall be made by - among others - Andrzej Bogucki - vice-chairman for the Infrastructure Matters, PL.2012 limited liability company;Marcin Herra -chairman of the PL.2012 Board limited liability company;Rafał Kapler - the vice-chairman for the Organisation Matters, PL.2012 limited liability company and Wasyl Kujbida - Minister of the Regional Development and Construction Industry, Ukraine.
The whole of the event shall be hosted by Roman Młodkowski - the TVN CNBC Business Programme Director, TVN 24.
