In his speech the mayor of Wieliczka highlighted the need of organisation of the collective transport as a part of the Cracow agglomeration. The aim both for Cracow and Wieliczka should be making it possible for the residents to use the communication within the borders of the Cracow agglomeration on the basis of one ticket. The perfect solution would be the possibility to use the agglomeration ticket in case of railway communication as well.

Wieliczka is trying to create a communication centre Park and Ride, which would facilitate transport between the salt town and Cracow.

Artur Kozioł also expressed anxiety related to the process of releasing the ground belonging to the railways.

If the municipalities would obtain the grounds belonging to the Polish State Railways, they would be able to take proper care of the railway infrasctructure. One of the projects realized by the Wieliczka Municipality is, precisely, the revitalisation of the railway areas in the town.

Today during the Regions Forum one could also hear the lectures by the special guests - prof.
