The Mietniów Primary School has won the competition announced by the Małopolska Education Superintendent, concerning a project financed as a part of the governmental programme the aim of which is equalization of the education chances of the children and youth in the year 2008, elicitation of the units of the territorial self government and the non- governmental organizations “.
The financial value of the Mietniów project amounts to 136 600 PLN out of which 95 620 PLN is the dotation from the Education Board and 40 980 PLN- are the private financial means employed by – among others – the teachers carrying out the project.
Co-ordinator of the “Our Chance” project, the director of the Mietniów Primary School, Robert Bębas informs, that thanks to the dotation the obtained financial means make it possible for the pupils the participate in the additional classes:
- developing knowledge and abilities (the clubs related to the following subjects:the Polish language,Mathematics, Computer Studies,Science, the English Language)
- developing the interests and abilities (the ecological, drama,rhytmics-dance, art clubs)
- psychological – pedagogical (the individual rehabilitation, speech therapy, the classes developing the phonological consciousness,classes entitled „Good manners everyday”)
- didactic – tutoring (for the pupils of classes I-III,the Polish Language, the English Language, Mathematics, Science,History)
- Sport&Recreation classes)
- classes developing the enterprising attitudes

The dotation shall allow purchasing of the costumes costing 13 500 PLN for the dance group created within the „Little Mietniowiacy” Ensemble.
All the pupils participating in the additional classes receive a warm meal subisdized by the Wieliczka Municipality.
