The Wieliczka Economic Activity Zone situated between the economic zones in Niepołomice and Cracow is attractive for the investors because of the very good land form, neighbourhood of the railway and connection with the highway (presently under construction) through the Rybitwy communication knot.
Today we may observe the first investments developing in the so-called “little industrial zone” in Kokotów.
Doubtless, it is a positive signal where winning over of successive investors is concerned.
The Mayor’s plenipotentiary for the investment matters, Józef Lasota, stressed, that it is the areas situated in the Kokotów area of the Wieliczka zone that enjoy an especially strong interest of the investors.
This year the Wieliczka Town Council agreed to assign to the firms the municipal grounds in Kokotów, in the zone of the immediate impact of the A4 highway Kraków-Szarów under construction.
The investors have been selected in the way of bidding and today the construction being erected for the first firm associated with the food industry can be viewed.
The successive four investors are preparing the necessary documentation and permits.
According to the obtained information, construction of the successive objects for the firms shall start in spring.
The serious interest in the grounds of the so-called “little zone” located by the highway, before the viaduct is a good sign for the Wieliczka Economic Activity Zone, which is being planned on the other side of the highway and the railway tracks – informs Tadeusz Luraniec, chairman of the Budget,Property and Economic Development Committee in the Wieliczka Council.
While winning over the investors for the areas in the environs of the highway, the Office attempted to find the investors whose activity is of little stress for the residents of the local villages.
It is worth adding that the Wieliczka Municipality shall apply for the financial means which shall allow to equip the 85 ha of land located in Kokotów, which, according to the Conditioning and Courses of Management Study gives a chance of settlement to the industrial-trade-servicing firms.
It shall take place in accordance with the application recruitment schedule for the priority Axis 4.
Infrastructure for the economic development, Activity 4.3.Creation and development of the economic activity zones, the B Plan of the economic activity zone concerning area larger than 20 ha, which is anticipated for the turning point between the year 2008 and 2009.
As a part of the programme it shall be possible to apply for the complex equipment of the areas designated as the new economic activity zone – explains Łukasz Sadkiewicz – the director of the European Funds Department.
